The farm has belonged to the Gilliam family since the early 1900's and was passed down to Pat Gilliam Osborne in 1994.Presently, the farm has ten varieties of Lavender and Pat plans to add different varieties each year. All of the Lavender is grown organically ... Ah, the romance of Lavender! So began Scott County Lavender. The farm is located on the banks of the Clinch River in Dungannon, Virginia. Presently, the farm has ten varieties of Lavender and Pat plans to add different varieties each year. All of the Lavender is grown organically. They also grow eight varieties of rose scented geraniums. Any herb that is grown at Scott County Lavender, will be a compliment to the lavender oil when it is distilled into essential oil and hydrosol. The lavender is dried and distilled in the old tobacco barn.
Scott County Lavender has developed a line of products made with the Lavender grown on the farm. Pat and her family have learned to enjoy and appreciate the valuable properties of Lavender and that is also their desire for you.
